That would take a very long time, but I can certainly get to work on these...

It dosen't matter but you have to use the same method for each sound.
Either all direct, or all miced, just choose the easiest way for you to record.
Otherwise we'll be not able to compare a sound to another one.

My SB1 had been unresponsive for the last few shows, so I finally busted it open last night and was able to get it working again (I'll take it to my local repair shop for a good professional once-over after I've tried the spreadsheet settings out).
I'll write down my existing settings and see if any of them are worthy before submitting them for your consideration (I doubt there's anything all that "different" in mine), and I'll test-drive the settings in your Excel spreadsheet, especially the Muse ones. I was trying to dial in a Hysteria setting last night so I probably threw some of mine out of whack anyway...
As far as the 9-presets-and-what-to-do-with-them philosophy goes, my situation allowed me to get away with only using 3 presets, so I just repeated 1-2-3's settings on 4-5-6 & 7-8-9 (although I will probably come up with 9 useable presets after trying out your list), and I made it so that I can control the SB1 with a midi controller, so I just "pedal" through the presets by stepping on the same button until I hear the one I want (since I can't see the preset number because the SB1 is hidden away safely in my rack).
I wired a 1/4" jack in parallel with the On/Off button (did not drill any holes, just mounted the jack in the button hole & wrapped the button up with electrical tape & stuffed it inside) so that the midi controller is programmed to change the preset via the Program Down jack (triggered by a CFX4), and then immediately instigate an "On" command all within the same single-click of the MIDI controller. Gordius LG rocks....
Got an Axe-FX Ultra arriving today
- going to see if I can simulate the SB1 at all. Unfortunately I just had 8yds of soil dumped in my yard this morning that I have to spread 3" thick over a 30'x30' area, so it will probably be a while before I can really dive into it...

Update: Muse's "I belong to you" from the Resistance is infact the Deep Impact, preset 9, played with a broken acoustic/electric.
I'll work on the patch and see if I can get it nailed.

Yes. You can play straight 16th notes if it is properly set up to accept your bass input.
When everyone was looking to uncover the "Hysteria tone" others including myself were using this pedal as a base, and found it can track that song well, depending on the patch and values used.

I just received my DI a few days ago. I absolutely love it overall. Great tone, fantastic tracking, and enough variety to cover my synth needs(I play in a original/cover funk band). For me personally it was very simple to program, although you must pay attention so you don't confuse the preset and data settings. My only complaint so far is the fact that the note on/off parameters are universal, which means each patch is affected by those settings. Was it worth the $600? I'll tell you after about four gigs and it's paid for

Patches 7-9 will probably get tinkered with, and patch 4 is just one of the presets. I use a Warwick Streamer LX5, get clean boost with the Source Audio MWBDP, compression with the Markbass Compressore, and finish with an SWR WorkingPro 15

This pedal (and all Akai pedals from this era) is prone to develop dry solder syndrome, especially on the jack and power connectors.
Fortunately it is an easy for for anyone who knows how to solder. Considering the price of this unit, it's worth having them checked when you get a chance.
