the price really is a lot. i bought one for the bypass and smaller footprint. aside from that, the korg G5 is so much superior in sound and tracking... and IMO sounds more like the "hysteria" sound than my deep impact ever could (wich seems to be half the reason for the price of the DI..)
i think im going to eventually sell my DI and go back to the G5. ill just have to get some kind of true bypass loop going on, and need to make sure ive got room.
Hm, that is interesting, as I've heard more good about the DI than the Korg, but to each their own. Let me know if you sell the DI

It does. i tore it apart to check for broken solder joints. i waxed it while it was apart, and cleaned the pots, and boards... Good as new.

Did you find any obvious solder issues? It looks like the boards were wave soldered and then the parts on the solder side were added.
Everything checked out on mine. nothing wrong at all. Most parts were added after the board was created.
Most of the knobs have a board on them, and they slide into a connector on the main board, so don't punish your pots... You may not be able to replace them.

Already saw it and thanks! I know, but seeing as my emphasis is Signal processing and with all the work I have to do means I don't sleep anyways, I'll give it a shot
