Albums that you consider "perfect"...

No Doy by Moe.
There is ridiculous sound quality and production value on this album, every song is amazing in its own way. Definitely an album I love to listen to start to finish!

Another one I'd consider perfect is,

In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3 by Coheed and Cambria
This album is one of my all time favorites. There is so much creativity in the music, and for those familiar with the storyline, this is where I really got into it. The songs are all super fun to play a well.

Those are the two I'd call perfect.

Sorry if this is a repeat but I just can't read all 42 pages today.

The only album I can say with all honesty that's 'perfect' to me is
"Wildflowers" by Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers.

Give it the headphone test sometime.

There is not one wasted note or sound on that record.

I have only found three albums so far that are what I consider so perfect that you'll never write a better one (talking about the bands who made them)

The first one up is Slipknot's Iowa.

They wrote it right after the major success of their first album for Roadrunner.
At the time some members were litterairly battling drug addictions (Clown was an alchohlic he said at the time he'd puke and pee blood but, he still needed it to function and at the time he said he wasn't even doing his hardest while recording the album).
The whole band also was imploding due to the tour life all bands face 24/7 no privacy it builds up till you want to kill your bandmate we all been there. However to me Slipknot somehow put all that anger, hatred, and utter pain their lives were into a a recording that is like a time capsule into a major recording imo for all of Metal and especially Nu Metal.

Basically to anyone who hasn't heard of Slipknot yet (there's not many) go pick this up. You'll get a real taste of what Slipknot is here's the stand out track imo of Iowa and it is also the title track

NOTE: Conditions are not a Metal band I don't know what they are maybe pop rock if I had to put a name on it but, don't read this post and NOT atleast click a link the worst thing that happens you waste a few seconds of your life or in other words a pee break.

Steve Khan & Eyewitness Public Access - Anthony Jackson at his finest along with the always amazing Dave Weckl and Manolo Badrena on percussion.

The bass tone is to die for on this album. It has the full gamut of Anthony's tricks - finger style grooves, aggressive pick work and outerspace flanger!

I love many others, but those are the ones on which I generally don't skip tracks. Probably forgetting some too.

+1 on pet sounds and Led Zepp II.

I also think Tool's albums are pretty much perfect - the expansive soundscaping and experimental pieces (esp. on the later material) is as good as I've ever heard, and the all out rock/metal parts... are legitimately perfect. Justin Chancellor is especially brilliant (though D'Amour was no slouch). And JC is the perfect fit for tool :D. :bassist:

The Aura by Beyond Creation.

If you like technical death metal then you absolutely HAVE to listen to this album.
Hands down it it the best tech death album I have ever heard with some very impressive, yet palatable bass playing, especially on Omnipresent Perception. (LISTEN TO IT NOW!!!!)

Solid bass playing, strange fretless feel that works surprisingly well. After tool I have become quite picky as far as drum sounds go - so that 'dry' kick sound and the traditional vocal approach hinders my enjoyment of this kind of music.

Now I need to get some strepsils, and some of this:
