what are some albums that, despite your musical journey through the years, you just keep coming back and listening to? whether in parts, a few songs, or in full. my picks are todd rundgren’s something/anything and chicago’s chicago transit authority. and by extension, i’ll also throw in the two albums that follow those two, chicago II and a wizard, a true star.
i come back to todd rundgren for the brilliant songwriting and production, and i come back to chicago for the bass sound and bass lines, as well as the songwriting of course. something about those albums can’t seem to free themselves from my mind.
