Very cool, the tone is awesome. It sounds like the F string blends pretty well too. I played a Conklin 7 for awhile and always felt like the F was a little weird sounding even when using wound strings.

According to Alembic's latest price list the cheapest neck-through 6-string (Essence with a single-filter preamp) is $18,500. I'd guess the bass in the video is going to be significantly north of $15K.

Yeah, it'd be more if you ordered it new. But that bass was bought from the original owner in a private sale on the Alembic Club. It was for sale on Reverb for $6700. I'd guess it changed hands for less. Still a lotta' money, but if you want a 7-string fretless Alembic. GFAO.
