I try not to let the number of bass strings exceed the number of fingers.Cool bass, but it has too many strings for me!
It has a large mwah-factor. But it sounds very different from the fretted Stan Clarke sound. Where does that difference lie?That TONE though![]()
According to Alembic's latest price list the cheapest neck-through 6-string (Essence with a single-filter preamp) is $18,500. I'd guess the bass in the video is going to be significantly north of $15K.Sounds great, and Alembic never disappoints aesthetically. If you Have to Ask, You Can't Afford It. Guesses? $15k?
