They got right on mine. But then there was thier holiday season. Then, regular follow ups after that. It seems that as soon as they started my new neck, they forgot about me. Then it's been kinda like pulling teeth for answers. But, I am eventually getting follow ups. But, three months for a single neck seems outrageous to me.

They started on it in August.

Yeah, absolutely no reason it should've taken this long. They bit off more than they could chew with the influx of custom orders and have no idea how to properly prioritize them at all. Not saying a CNC magically takes away all the time consuming hand work involved in building a neck, but it can handle everything besides gluing, fretting, final sanding, or finishing.

But hell dudes, 400 dollars + pickups for a 100% custom bass from scratch. I don't really care too much about the time or complications. I've already laid out my next order to them. If this one plays good when I finally get it, I'll be ordering the next one in January.

My Bordwell builds have been running 16 months the past year or 2. There are other custom builders running much longer. Seems reasonable except for having to hound them and continuously ask them to fix their work.

I still might get one. Will they do a 30”?

I think they'll do a 30" scale if you want. I have a 32" coming from the same builder.

custom builds, in my experience, take a lot longer than this one has taken....and cost a mint. i think you've done well, @JeezyMcNuggles, despite the problems/issues!

of course, you'll know first hand.

Give it a couple of days until beginning of January, he is not answering to me as well since Christmas. If He doesn't answer you, I will ask him with a photo of your bass what's up as he seems to answer more to me. I did for J Posega and it accelerated a bit the process for him
