Great gritty bass there. And unlike many bands, the studio tone gets nailed live:
Not that I have any *proof*, but the rumor mill has always been saying that by the recording of "Dirt" that Mike Starr was almost as smacked-out as Lanye*, and that most if not all of the bass parts were recorded by Cantrell and producer Dave Jerden.
*Starr is supposed to be included in VH1's "Celebrity Rehab 3" if this counts for anything...
riff sounds just as good on the acoustic...
Mike Inez in 2009 clearly playing a Spector.... Just to settle any discrepancies over Warwick versus Spector sound. Either will fly.![]()
