All Things Must Beat. Share Anything Beatles!!

Just came across this interesting "Ranking" of the first solo albums.
Of course, I would rank "McCartney" above "Plastic Ono Band", as did the U.K. & U.S. music charts. But I certainly agree with "All Things Must Pass" as the best. I still recall being totally blown away by both the quality and quantity of the songs. There wasn't as much diversity of style or tone as a Beatles album, but the songs themselves have stood the test of time very well.

John had already performed with his hastily-assembled "Dirty Mac" band and was also in the Rolling Stones' Rock & Roll Circus back in '68 before telling the group he was leaving in September '69. And Ringo had already recorded and released an album of pop standards before Paul released his first solo album.
But it was probably the "self interview" accompanying the first McCartney album in April '70 that tagged him as the one who broke up The Beatles in many people's eyes. And, although any one Beatle previously had veto power over anything the group did, that went out the window when Phil Spector's "Let It Be" was released over Paul's objections. Then Paul's lawsuit against the others just added to his "bad guy" public perception.

I'm playing my Beatle cassettes. So far Revolver, A Hard Day's Night, Help!, The Beatles At The Hollywood Bowl, Beatles For Sale, Past Masters Volume Two. Plus I play along with them so get to do several hours playing at the same time. Who knows where this will end today? 
For a joke I was thinking of listing the "Red Album" and the "Blue Album" in a list of faves/best.....

At one time I seriously considered buying this Ultimate Beatles "Box Set" USB device as my favorite compilation. But, I decided that my original vinyl, tape, CD and e-music collection is even more comprehensive!

I do think the red and the blue make a good introduction for someone approaching The Beatles for the first time

According to this video, Paul didn’t play bass on “Oh Darling.” It was George. I had no idea this was George on bass, I always thought it was Paul.
Maybe it's just a myth but I've heard that the Bee gees wanted to just be a Beatles cover band, but at the time weren't skilled enough to play instruments themselves
