I read all about the Paul is Dead mythos when I was young.

As a result, it helped me see how easy it is to find patterns and clues, if someone really wanted to believe something questionable.

Of course the Rutles took that a bit over the top...

Did you get to see the show? It got an outstanding review from Tom Frangione on The Beatles Channel on SiriusxM! He says, they added "Octopus's Garden" to the set list for the first time, ever. And, these All-Starrs certainly aren't "just phoning it in", but are really excited to be playing with other world class musicians. For example, when Ringo takes a break in the middle, some of the All-Starrs "do their own thing", like Edgar Winter playing "Frankenstein" on the keytar, and such!

At a show Paul laughed and said that nobody plays Blackbird they way that he recorded it. He said that people think they know how to play it, but they all have it wrong. The Beatles had slight nuances in their playing, verse to verse. John strummed verses with slight differences. It was more about the feel of the song rather than being consistent. Paul did the same in all his playing. George threw in unexpected chords.

To nail it, it’s way more complicated to figure it out. Like Galeazzo does here and some others do, a note by note computer analysis is needed when trying to figure it out.

Keep in mind that it’s basically John’s song, and Paul wouldn’t necessarily be interested in revisiting it or playing it at his own shows in the ensuing years.
There was an old benefit album where he joined Paul Weller and Noel Gallagher on a remake, but apparently played keys and some drums(Damon Minchella of Ocean Colour Scene was cited as the bassist)…

Paul was probably jamming. I know I would have. He would probably play it differently today...

I might use this technique when I play this song....but will end up playing the way I do.
The current band I'm in plays it. Although they drop it down to C...of course for which I do not care for .

I take lots of liberties with this song. I play fretless...
