A lot of info in the video, I think, was taken from this book, a must read if you are a Beatles fan at all IMO. Gave me a whole new understanding of their relationships with each other, and a closer, more honest look at how they really were in those years. I can't wait for Volume 2 to come out. I encourage everyone to read it.

I can recall The Beatles being adamant that their songs were not to be used to sell things, with a few notable exceptions. Although somewhat tastefully done, this recent ubiquitous ad is bittersweet on many levels.

I just thought it blew my mind listening back in the '60s! This presentation today goes lightyears beyond the Love mixes!!! Other, more surreal, examples leaked out my brain. Highly recommended, if you get the chance!

I’m sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere on TB, but I thought this would be the perfect bunch of Beatles train spotters to ask.

So I got the Hackney Diamonds cd as a Chrissy presso.
Sir Paul is on one track, which includes a short solo and a call-out from Sir Michael “C’mon Paul let’s hear some Bass!” (Or similar).

Now I want to know which bass Paul used to cut this track ? Anyone know?

On a related note, it seems the tracks Sir Richard drummed on didn’t make the cut. I’m sad for Ringo, but pleased they resurrected a track for Charlie Watts and one that has Bill Wyman on it.
