All Things Must Beat. Share Anything Beatles!!

Big 4 Park in Jeffersonville Indiana, right across the Ohio River from Louisville KY, is the site of the largest Beatles Festival in the world. The 5 day, Thursday through Monday, annual event draws bands and fans from all over the world. Most of the groups play Beatles music but occasionally slip in a few other tunes.
There are usually 5 stages (of various sizes) with solos, duos, trios, and as large as 10 pc bands performing.
The festival reduces to 2 stages on Monday. On Friday night and Saturday night they usually have a headliner, but not necessarily Beatles related.
Groups they’ve had are Vanilla Fudge, The Buckinghams, The Grassroots, Jefferson Starship, etc.
My band, Louisville Brass & Electric has been a “staple” for the event, performing on Mondays. We’ve been a Chicago Tribute Band for about 12 years and do that plus a couple of Beatle tunes mixed in.
The festival goes through the Memorial Day weekend. If you’re a Beatles fan it needs to be on your bucket list.

On a lark, I plugged the address into Google Earth. The app has a feature where you can see the same place in other dates. I was a little taken aback at first when I saw its condition in 2008

Thank you for clarifying that it was Ringo’s birthplace. The photos were taken during a trip my wife and I made in the summer of 2013, so some of the details are a bit hazy. Madryn Street appeared quite run-down at the time—boarded up and almost like a ghost town. That said, I was genuinely surprised by how beautiful and well-kept many areas of Liverpool were. I suspect that, as a major port city, certain areas benefited significantly from shipping and trade.
Last year there was a cool version of this where the old ladies seemed to change back to children for a short bit. Haven't seen that one this year.
