All Tube Eden Heads "ideas"

Eden was never owned by a Chinese company--David Nordschow sold it to US Music, and a few years ago it (and all of US Music) was purchased by JAM Industries, a Canadian company. Eden was just purchased by Marshall Amplification--the announcement is on the Eden forum and will be released to the public tomorrow. That can only be a good development:

"So your telling me I have a chance...."

When I checked earlier this year, there wasn't even any Eden distribution in Canada.

a few years ago it (and all of US Music) was purchased by JAM Industries, a Canadian company.

How do we reconcile these? I mean, maybe there's no point belaboring it since now Marshall owns the brand, so old news is old. But if both of the above quotes are true, then that's just one more example of why Eden amps have gotten a poor rep lately.

If you notice, in the press release, it states that Marshall purchased Eden from US Music, so there was no Canadian ownership.

Why no interest? Even if it is a damn good amp, it is too expensive. Plain economics and supply and demand. Drop your price to $650-750 and you might get some bites.

Why pay $200 less than a SVT workhorse. From what I understand, the Eden may need more retubing and at a bill or two bills for new (cheaply made) tubes, why not just buy an old SVT and get something proven?

Because I'm endorsed and get cost ;)

Still strange to me that Eden provided me this head at jan 2011 namm but would have meant it was discontinued at its release time? Huh? Doesn't make since. Sounds like a lot of confusion at corporate based on all of the TB input. Oh well, I'm not giving it away, I'll use it before that, but I have WAY too much gear, need some money, and figured this had the most value at new...WRONG! Thanks everyone for ragging my head ;)

The whole thing is a little weird, but I believe the actual purchase was by JAM of US Music Corp, and then while still acting as US Music Corp, they sold Eden to Marshall.
And then the kicker.
Eden will still be distributed by Jam (under Erickson Music I believe) in Canada at least.

Anyways, I have one of the earlier (rat fur) models, and I really like it. From what I can tell, there are significant changes in quality between the original Eden tube head (DT300?) which was rack mounted and US made, to the more classic styled E300T, and then again to the WTB300T.
I've seen tube differences between the E300 and the WTB300 versions, mine is loaded with a solid set of Electro Harmonix KT-88s, the WTB I'm fairly certain comes with Ruby KT-88s.

Build and qualitywise, I'd put it on the same playing field as the YBA200, it's a good tube amp, but it shouldn't be selling for anything over $800 right now.

I have the older E300t, same amp. Say what you will these amps ,they sound effing great.Got mine used for 650 bucks. I have A/B ed it with a new svt classic. There close in sound. I felt the eden head had a bit cleaner sound, more open. The Svt had a scouped sounding mid that to me sounded a little dull. In the band mix i think they sound about the same, bolth cut through the mix very well. These are great amps anyone who can get there hands on one should.
