i picked up 'good things' album recently...a little different, nice and soulful, and some very cool, unexpected bass playing (as i understand it, by aloe himself) on the album

anyone else digging his stuff?

Aloe Blacc is very cool. He sings and raps very credibly, but I didn't know the tidbit about him being a bass brother. I might have to support this dude with cash, as I hear he needs a dollar (thank you, I'm here all week).

i read it on wikipedia--can't vouch for the accuracy, and can't find a lot of info on him...if it is true, he's a very talented man, there's some great playing on there

i just talked to a friend in NYC who saw him last week, she's visiting in a couple of days, i'll ask her if he picks up an instrument live at all
