Alperious pickguards

So if anyone hasn't checked out this guys stuff, they should! I got him to make me a pickguard for my thunderbird, and based on the pictures, it turned out great. I messaged him 2 weeks ago, told him what I was thinking, he sketched up his version of it, and it's due to arrive Tuesday. He's based out of Turkey, but he speaks pretty solid English, and he was great to deal with. He was really excited to do an all black pickguard since usually he does silver. Sent me the pictures today and I'm impressed. Entirely made out of stainless and wood. And the thunderbird of choice for any nerdy kid from the 90's, and a matching lightning bolt truss rod cover.

He video called me and we talked in person about what I wanted and what I was looking for. Essentially if he isn't interested in what you want he won't do it. He showed me the idea he came up with and I was into it. Aside from being all black and having the bird I left the rest up to him. And it cost me 260 USD shipped. Everything he does is one off, no mass production, and he's made guards for some big deals, like Nikki sixx. Also, he sent me templates to print out to make sure it would fit.

Pickguard showed up today, and my word, is it stunning. You can see the wood grain through the epoxy better in my pictures. The fit was bang on and a white t-bird looks so much nicer in my opinion with a black pickguard

That is beautiful! I too have been in touch with him and he's currently working on a pickguard and control plate for my Sterling Ray34. I can't wait.

Alper is just great! Had him create(can’t call an artist work a “build”) a pickguard for my brand new MM Stingray special. The whole process went as smooth as it can be. He even went the extra mile by finding a sample of the pickguard in Turkey to make sure it will fit. The result was just amazing! And yes, he does everything by videocall. The details are just exquisite. I’m in the process of ordering my 2nd one. Can’t wait!
