Alternate cabinet ideas for M6 Carbine

I'm reconsidering an M6 Carbine, but am a bit put off by the weight of of Mesa's cabinets. Running a 2x10" on top of a 1x15" setup seems to be my favorite setup since it allows the option of scaling back in situations where I have PA support or in a very small room.

I'm thinking of something lightweight like Mark Bass, Epifani's UL line or Bergantino. Suggestions are welcome.

I just got an Avatgar TB153 and am very impressed with it under my M6. I have NOT gigged it yet, but it is an outstanding box, and at the intro price it was a no-brainer. 65 lbs, same volume as a 410. VERY loud.

The Epi and Berg options would be excellent IMO because of their very nice tweets and crossovers. They help keep the M6 from getting to brittle on top. If you like 12's, I would think the Genz Benz Neox 212T would be a nice option as well.

I haven't had any hands on experience with the Markbass cabs.

I paired my M6 with an Epi310UL and it was outstanding. Actually considering going that route again.

I don't know what the PH212 weighs, but I used to own an M6 and a PH212. If that's the sound you're going for, these two pieces sound really good together, and the PH212 surprised me by how light it was. This might be the perfect trade-off for you instead of having a 15+210 setup. The cab is pretty big, but not as heavy as I expected.

I have an M6 as well with a 2-10 Mesa Cabinet (79 lbs) and was wondering the same thing. I was looking into the SWR Go-Light series. According to their specs a 1-15 cabinet weighs in at 45lbs and the 2-10 is 38lbs. Anybody have any experience with these cabinets?

I had an Epifani UL-2 410 and it was killer with my M9. I'm a sucker for the Mesa cabs though despite their weight. The 12 loaded Mesa cabs are a lot lighter with the neo drivers though!
