I was looking at the "Basses of the Week on Instagram" that I got in an email and I saw what was the most exciting, new bass I've ever seen since Ritter.

They're called ALUSONIC and they're made in Italy. I've never seen such beautiful detail with wood, carbon fiber, aluminum, etc. Any of you try them ?

I got one this spring. None more Black Django (Picture) with active electronics (switchable), carbon rods in neck, black alu plate in front, side jack, 3 way EQ with center click. It has taken over for my MM Stingray Stealth as my main instrument. Low action, extremely stable neck. Very versatile (all 5 positions are useable), great sounds, very light, fast neck. Looks fantastic, great workmanship and very good communication with the builder. One drawback: 5 screws to get to the battery, but can be switched to passive by push pull on volume switch. Preamp has internal controls for gain and enhancer, so easy to set gain as unity with passive. Great bass.

My GAWD, that looks like a 21st Century bass 100% ! I love the slanted Roadstar II j pup in the p position. I bet that bass can sound like anything.

Thank You. Yes, with these pups in those places, 5way selector and active/passive anything is possible (except boring). Did I mention that the neck is slim (but not anemic), fretboard 1mm narrower than Stingray and the paintjob/frets/fretboard are perfect?

The orange & black one is very nice - sounds good too. So what part is aluminum?

They have two options: Solid aluminium body or wood with a big plate of aluminium set into the top. I have the plate option. You can easily see where the plate is inset on the upper parts of the body. The wood body (and I think the aluminium) is chambered somewhat because of weight. Much lighter than my Stingray. Talk to the builder. He is fast and helpful. Why is so much of the best bass gear from Italy?
