"Always Keep a Bass in the Trunk"

While I wouldn't keep a bass in my trunk all the time I have a particular superstition. I always feel that I have to carry a bass in my car if I go to see a band play. On at least 3 different occasions something has happened to the bass players bass, and my night would have been over if I hadn't. I have also got several offers on the basses I have brought, but I wasn't really interested in selling.

I know one in a case won't. I have to carry it in the back seat. However, I wanted to run this by teh forum before I totally dismissed the idea. Then there's the question of the amp. My Line 6 Lowdown Studio 110 fits perfectly in my trunk.

But seriously, it's bad for the bass, and anyone ever knew/saw that you were occasionally storing (to say nothing of consistently storing...) your bass in the car, that puts your car at risk of theft, break-in and damage.

I think you were right on the money, originally: dismiss the idea.
