Am I seeing things ?

Uh, yeah, my wife bought a piece of cookware from walmart.com and didn’t notice it wasn’t sold by walmart. About two weeks after the projected delivery date, she got an envelope in the mail with a blank piece of paper in it, and the cookware showed delivered.

Walmart didn’t seem to care.

Fortunately the credit card company did care and took care of it.

USUALLY you can return anything bought from Walmart TO Walmart.

Also Adorama can suck it, they had me on the hook for a subwoofer they shipped without packaging, they wanted me to pay return shipping and a restocking fee. Took almost 2 months to get my money back.

I bought a Peavey Max 150 combo amp from Walmart.com last year. It was the best price I could find and my wife retired from Walmart Pharmacy so we get a retiree discount for life (ours or Walmart’s, whichever ends first).

Some friends of mine bought a $300 propane grill from WM.com that never showed up. They contacted the seller, who said it had been delivered. They said it hadn’t. The seller sent out a second grill that did get delivered. Almost two weeks later, their neighbor that lives about 1/2 mile away pulled up to their house and unloaded the 1st grill. The neighbor (a retired surgeon) had been on a month-long vacation to Europe. They called the seller back to arrange for a return & the seller said “keep it; it cost to much to ship it back.

I ordered a pressure washer wand ($30) which was drop-shipped from Korea. It arrived in due order but the tracking never updated over the course of a month. When I questioned this. Walmart did not investigate...they simply refunded my 30 bucks.

I kinda felt bad and but I got over it.

I've bought photography gear from Adorama many times, never had a problem.

In my experience the delivery company is usually the problem. FedEx, UPS, and Amazon frequently deliver my packages to my neighbor's front door and vice versa. DHL has never once in over a decade ever found my house. Ever.

DHL now wants a $50+ surcharge to deliver to my "remote rural area." I live a whopping mile and a half off I-84, less than an hour east of Portland in a very busy resort area. There are big Boeing and Google plants in the area too. Absolutely nuts.

Yes, they are, but I still prefer to buy from B&H. :)
Me too:

As luck would have it, I bought a Fujifilm XS-1 the Friday before Sandy roared across NYC. I took the attitude they'd ship late because of the difficulties the city went through that weekend, and I wouldn't complain in the face of all that.

Sunday night I get a Email it would ship Monday AM, an apology for the delay, and I got it on Wednesday.

I'd NEVER shop anywhere else. Still own the camera. Nobody like B+H.
