Am I wrong

Well, I went to family court and filed a "No Contact" order. Sort of the same as a Restraining order, but without the intent of violence. I don't think it will turn violent, but by his responses to my telling him not to contact my daughters, I felt I was left with no choice. Unfortunately, he has the money to fly here and fight the order which I think just proves my issue with him contacting my 14 year old

He won't fight the order; he'd get hammered in court. I'm betting he's a gutless creep anyway, and he'll stay well away. Still, at least it's on record now, so if he fronts up at your house you can give him a slight tap with a baseball bat. ;)

I think you're handling this situation exactly as I would under the same circumstances.

Props to you for protecting your daughter!

I'll add that even though there is a no-contact order in place, I think that you and your daughter still need to be very vigilent. Oftentimes, creeps will ignore those restrictions.
