Not photoshopped per se, but it was no doubt run through an hdr (high dynamic range) filter of some sort along the way

Right, I could tell some sort of filter was used, but no reason to think any part of the original image was shopped.

There appears to be some kind of filter applied to this pic, but I don't know what it is....the "fairytale filter"?
Correct, i just used the term Photoshopped to mean digitally filtered or enhanced for a nice exaggerated effect ... just one of the thousands of things that PS does.

That's one brave seagull. I'm always amazed seeing smaller birds taking on eagles - it's amazing to watch.
