The world's smallest park, recognized by Guinness World Records, is located in Nagaizumi Town, Shizuoka, Japan, and measures just 0.24 square meters (2.6 square feet or 372 inches. It just superceded the previous record holder, Mills End Park, Oregon, USA (at 452 inches).

A few pages back, we had some posts about pipe organs, including the massive one in the Wanamaker Building in Philadelphia, so I'll provide an update. The space was most recently a Macy's, which closed this past weekend. To celebrate the organ, they staged a series of performances on Saturday before the store closed for good.
The new owner of the building has committed to preserving the organ, and because the building is on the Philadelphia Register of Historic Places, any changes, including to the organ, would need to be approved by the Philadelphia Historical Commission. So I expect it to stay for the foreseeable future, and hopefully the Grand Court housing the organ will come to good use. Supposedly, it will become an upscale mall with an innovative format, but that could be a challenge in Philly. (The iconic eagle statue is also protected as historic, and thus should be sticking around. Apart from the Grand Court, the building is open with offices, conference facilities, a ballroom, etc.)
Here it is for the last performance until the Grand Court reopens, which could be years. In the first photo, you can see the organist at the controls to the left on the same level as the pipes. The eagle statue is lower left. In the second photo, the screen shows the organist, including his foot in an inset at lower left. It was really cool. They had half hour performances on the hour from 11:00 a.m. through the grand finale at 5:00 p.m. I saw the 3:00 show.

Saw this at a cactus show. Not sure what species, but definitely unworldly! But cool too!
