Just arrived. Seems like very good quality, certainly better than the fender deluxe bag that they no longer sell that was about the same price. I'm pleased. More than adequate for the SBMM SUB RAY5 that will go in it. Thanks for the heads up, @Turock.

Some side by sides with protec contego:

I'd give the quality edge to the protec but they're not far apart. Some pros and cons for each in pockets/handles/straps/protection.

This thread delivers! Now the question is, Wind30 or AA31? Both look pretty nice, I kind of like the shape and reinforcement of the AA31 but the Wind30 sure looks nice.

I have several basses and purchased the AA31 yesterday and ordered the WIND30 today.

With both at the price of a cheap case, I bought one of each.

Got to spread the love. Looks pretty nice. I suppose I was the first in this group to order one, and mine hasn't even shipped yet. Ordered on the 12th, "Arriving Feb 19 - Feb 22".
I don't really need it. I already have three expensive leather bags, a Mono M80, two Protec Contegos, other various bags, and hard cases.

I have a Contego. I never take it anywhere because it weighs a ton. Ordered the other two. Much to explain to the War Department... :/

Well too late now. Went with the AA31. We'll see how I feel when it comes. Just need something that will fit a few different basses and this seems to fit the bill. Weight isn't as much of a concern as is protection and having shoulder straps and pocket space. $7 more when I ordered it, hope it is worth it.

Got my TANG30 just now. Great value like everyone here said. Another bonus is that it comes in a nice bass-sized shipping box, which I was running low on.

Thinking about buying a couple of these cases to supplement selling a couple basses. How nice is the box these come in?

That may seem like a dumb question but awhile back I shipped a Gibson Explorer guitar in an SKB bag I had bought and the case came with a nice, compact shipping box. I saved a bunch on shipping by being able to use that bag and box combo as compared to the gigantic OEM case and box I would have had to use.

Just got mine AA31
I have not had much of a chance to really go over it but so far so good.
Listed at 10 lbs but does not feel like it

The one minor drawback is- the storage compartments in the front- the zipper does not go up the other side so you can’t open these compartments up all the way- access to these areas are not very good IMO

Appears like it will provide good protection so it will be a keeper

Box is ok- sturdy enough and mine was not bent or torn in shipping.

I just bought a TANG30 too. I like the styling on the other ones more, but not with the price jump. I don't regret purchasing the AA31 but didn't want to get another due to the weight. I'm gigging more these days, but no serious tours on the immediate horizon...and the TANG has more protection than my current gig bags anyway.

How nice is the box these come in?

Mine came double boxed. The inner is double thicker than the outer.

The TANG30 weighs in at just over 6lbs on the digital fish scale. The contego is 8.
