Amber Squier VM P-bass. Tell me everything.

The Amber VM P bass has consistently been the best sub-$400 bass I've played at every music store I've been to.

Once you go over $400 I have to hand that title over to the Ibanez SR basses.

His add definatley states it's a Squier. He's not trying to pass it off as a Fender. His ebay name is fata88. Look at the posting.

It did not sell on the first go round. He re-listed it & lowered the $

I'm not sure I understand your statement. Isn't the Jaguar supposed to sound like a P if you turn off the J pickup?

And since it uses the exact same pickup of the VM P, I thought they would sound quite similar. The Jaguar and the amber P have different body wood, so they probably don't sound exactly the same, but the white P and the Jaguar should sound pretty similar...

Or are you saying you didn't like the playability of the Jaguar? I'm asking because I'm looking for a P tone with a Jazz neck and figured the Jaguar would be a good option for me...

Same pickup, and they sound very similar. I want one of these and I really don't even like P-basses (I like slim necks and I don't like the P pickguard shape)... I have the VM Jag and it has one of the slimmest necks I have ever played, that's probably why the OP didn't like it. I highly recommend each for both of you!
