Huh... Definitely not a direction I would have expected from Eventide.
Sofia and whatever the Endorphin.es thing is.
Aurora definitely seems cool but I feel like I can get similar-enough results from Unfiltered Audio Spec Ops (I've used it for spectral psuedo-reverb before), and I've been disappointed by Qu-Bit in the past.
The new Oberheim and Syntrx are just going to be out of my price range so I'm trying not to pay much attention to those...

These chiptune things always make me smile. The dedication it takes for a fan to do this. I remember the first time I saw this when someone programmed Mario Paint Composer to play YYZ years ago.

Aha, the mysterious module turns out to be sort of a multi-FX thing (delay, reverb, filter, distortion, compressor, pre and post VCAs, in a single unit). Not the fancy multitap delay / comb filter / resonator thing I was hoping for, but I guess useful for people who don't use DAWs.

Dedication, depends on how you do it.
If you have the complete transcriptions and are good with Finale it can be done very very fast.
Had some friends in school that where lightning quick at inputting scores on Finale.
5min song completely done in under 20 mins easy.
And that was with complete brass and sax sections.

Can you disable quantize on any given sequence??
Not sure yet. I’ll dig in on the specs later and let you know if I find anything.
Well, the info isn't explicitly stated where I can find it. However, I wouldn't be surprised if micro-timing would be allowed. The Tracker allows for micro-timing, so it is still on the grid, but finely quantized. I'm trying to find where the Medusa allows for non-quantized recording, but I can't find that language. I'd expect the firmware platform of the new device would likely allow some less-quantized recording options, but time will tell.

it’s clearly not a tool with the intent of have non quantized sequencing but for me it’s a crucial spec in a sampler
