We just got home from dad band practice and after removing excess work clothing, I immediately went over to the piano. Quite loud. It is a “cheap” Chinese brand, but appears very well built. All keys work and so do the pedals. It looks brand new.
The most exciting part for me is a locking felt system, which is like the old bridge mutes on basses—it drops felt between the hammers and strings. It sounds great. Lovely for twee, delicate melodies. Also quieter.
The cats have a complex input-output system. Sometimes you get output before giving them input. They do not have CV, however I can say that they both have a snappy attack, and one has a surprisingly gentle release. Also, capable of serious and sometime instantaneous phase shift.
Also, sometimes to get my attention, the white cat in the photo will actually play a note on an open string on a guitar or bass. I really really want to capture it on video or audio.

That paper that this is based on is a really interesting read too. It really keeps me thinking about the universalisms of music across cultures.
The catch-22 is if I’m paying attention, there is no way she will do it.

Awesome band. I think they released maybe 5 albums before Nothingface, which was a marked change in stye and sound... much more polished production, more psychedelic as opposed to the raw punk/metal chaos of earlier albums, which I like better.
This is a bit of a work in progress, or at least I'm not sure whether I'll ultimately try to fit it into something bigger, but I haven't posted any sonic disasters since that CCR abomination so I figure why not (also if you listen closely at the end you can hear one of my cats begging for treats)...
