Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Anyone here used some kind of tape to dim bright LEDs on their gear? If so, what did you use? (Be specific.) I've heard nail polish too but which nail polish and how would I get it off later if I wanted to remove it without damaging the module?

I'm dealing with some post-concussion symptoms that include light sensitivity. I'm doing screens in 15 minute doses throughout the day, so you're not totally rid of me, but I'm scaling back for awhile (and greyscaling all my screens).

Ive had success with these. Their website looks dreadful, but the product works well. They reduce but don’t completely stop the light.

Tomorrow night will be my first (and hopefully only) gig while concussed. We are part of an art installation and it’s at 6pm, gotta love the reasonable hour. I am happy that at least my knee is healed enough that I can properly operate my pedalboard.
In term of controlling synths while playing bass, I don’t do it, but you could envelope followers, foot pedals, theremins, there are lots of options.

This is either meant to amuse or torture you - actually, I really like it! (Having listened to this album many times, especially in high school)

(From the "Alex Lifeson is underrated" thread)

Kind of reminds me of all those Mario Pain Composer covers that have been on the internet since before youtube. Fun as a novelty, but generally not listenable.

Gig went great and was fun. Probably sounded like crap because it was in a wooden box they'd constructed inside the usual white cube for these things. Every time my drummer laid into his snare the sound bounced off the wall. Cool but wrong. Amps were provided. The guitarist's went out in the middle of a song and he seamlessly unplugged his pedalboard from it and plugged into the other guitar amp next to him and kept playing. Real ninja stuff. I was in full prophylaxis: gloves, sunglasses, earplugs. I should get a full suit of armour. We only played 4 songs because new material is lllloooong but it was very fun.
