That matrix virtual patch bay thing is really powerful and it’s melting my brain.

It’s a fantastic synth. You should be able to do wild things with it.
My immediate thought was for the final two nights - I really like Tour de France - it was the first new album to come out after I started listening to them around 2001 - I found out about the tour after the Japan shows already happened, I try not to be too hard on myself for that.
Then the last night is supposed to be a "greatest hits" which would probably be the most interesting overall? The Man Machine and Computer World would be cool too. And of course Autobahn!

before I realized.Microfreak was pretty fun. If I weren't obsessed with playing stuff just with pressure and no envelopes, I might have stuck with mine. At least as of... whichever firmware came after the Noise Engineering update, that didn't work very well (you could assign pressure to Sustain, but the attack phase would still go to 100%.)
Speaking of Noise Engineering. I bought 3 modules a couple of weeks ago and due to this nasty winter weather, they all got delayed in shipping but 2 of them finally arrived. One of them was the Alia oscillator platform. Even though they have two new firmwares for it that are things I haven't tried yet, I immediately put Cursus Iteritas Alia on it -- of all their oscillators I've tried and sold, Cursus is the one I missed most and where I felt let the plugin version doesn't do it justice. Couple of quick jams with it today:

Cursus is supposed to be the most gentle and tame of their oscillators but it can definitely get rowdy.
The other new module was Toppobrillo Cluster, just an unexciting utility that's slightly more suitable for me than the Blinds it's replacing.
The one that's still late is Auza Wave Packets, which should be pretty crazy and I'm really looking forward to playing with it...

On the pedals front: what distortions, overdrives, and fuzzes have worked well with line level synths for you all? My issue seems to be that most simply "go to 10" because of the line level input and there's not much interest or variation to be had other than one sound.
I've been experimenting with the Buchla outputting sine or triangle waves and have reached the following conclusions:
Moogerfoogers: yes
sfx Micro Red Dragon: yes
Source Audio Aftershock: yes, but makes everything quieter
Montreal Assembly Too Positive: yes, but wish I could put the drives in series without wiring up a special cable harness (though I may do that)

Broughton PLL (sorry @Ugly -- but it was a bargain for a PLL pedal)
ZVex Machine
Yes but only if you want it maxed out:
LAL Super Oscillo Fuzz -- it's insane though so whatever
Dr Scientist The Elements -- website says it works with line level but with synth I find it gets spitty reaalllly fast.

That machine has always been super tempting to me, that and the soma pulsar 23.
Update on synths with pedals woodshedding. I wasn't using any gain staging between the 208c and the pedals. Much better with some gain staging. First I tried Little Labs Red Eye (a reamp), then just a Pladask Matrix Mixer. my revised opinions are below.

Use whatever you want, I don’t really care what other people use, as long as you dig and it sounds cool…..but yes Broughton is more hype than anything, tried 3 pedals from them hated them all.I thought Broughton was in your Gallery of Hatepossibly due to its fashionability on this here BBS.

Pretty amazing. As much a I love my Oxi for jamming out ideas, I’ve never really been able to arrange ‘songs’ on it. I know it can be done, but I’ve got some weird mental block with that thing!
Still doing live sets with the Syntakt + Octatrack in an effort to learn both a little better. So far, so good.
