PLUS 3 is designed for musicians who prefer compact desktop control of features accessible via the sustain and expression jacks of their instruments, as opposed to using their feet or bulky sustain and expression pedals on their desk.

PLUS 3 includes a high-quality fader for expressive performance and automation, a momentary sustain key, and an innovative “drone mode” toggle switch, which lets you free your hands and hold notes indefinitely. In drone mode, the momentary key’s functionality changes, to let you swap droned notes with new ones.

PLUS 3 is totally passive, meaning it doesn’t require any power to work. It’s made of aluminum, so it’s sturdy, light, and portable. Its sustain key is based on standard mechanical keyboard-style keys, so you can customize it and swap the key out to make the pedal your own with your key of choice.

slow indeed,
spending all my available music time on bass, I have no interest atm for editing stuff on a screen (yes aware of irony here….) this last year or so…..
I miss a few of my creative pedals, but hey, it is what it is.

Preproduction coming soon for our new band album with added guitar, hence the work on the instrument.
Also will have to make samples and such……

Im going to be the one making the rough mixes so, time on computer screen will be inevitable in the near future.
I loath mixing my own band but im the only one with the “skill”…..skill used very loosely……more as will make tracks sound ok enough for the work that needs to be done before actual recording

That looks really useful. I thought Saturnworks made something similar, will have to look it up.

I learned an important lesson the hard way, but after years of suffering, I am now determined to toe the line: I no longer tell any of the musicians I play with that I spent decades as a professional audio engineer, working in recording studios and live concert venues. It's my secret!

The band wants help setting up the PA, I kinda shrug and say "I can lift that amp rack if it'll help..." They want to record our rehearsals and/or mix those tracks for gig-getting demos, I just give 'em a thumbs-up and say "Where do I plug my bass in?" or "Have fun, lemme know how it goes!"

Life is too short for the distraction/time-suck that trying to wear multiple hats in an ensemble requires. Playing the right notes at the right time is hard enough!

We all know each other very well, one has been my main drummer and very good friend for about 20years so I can’t lie my way out of this one.

I’ll do it, but I’ll b!$t and whine so much they won’t make me do it again

But for real it’s gonna be ruff mixes tops, no edits or any of that crap.
Just to hear the songs and choose which ones make the cut for the final recording session.
We already have someone lined up for the recording and “mastering » and it’s for &:&;&@-&; sure not me

that’s been around for a while. seemed really interesting. a friend has (had?) it. iirc, he said it actually has a learning curve to it (he’s actually really good with tech stuff…)

did you get one?

I got one. It’s fun. There is indeed a learning curve with the manual and menus but it’s not painful. The touch strip sensitivity is awesome, and so much better than the MicroFreak. I love that you can lift your finger and it will retain/latch the pressure and position. If you opt to only latch the position you can set a slew rate on the release of the pressure. It’s almost worth it for that alone.

knowing how a lot of you guys are one man bands…
Do you use a drum machine live? Or pre programmed beats? Or drum and looper pedals seem a thing these days too!??

My band is slooow these days… which is ok cos I’m busy with work and 4 kids anyway but always have in the back of my mind to record / play my ambient / drone / noise fun stuff at one stage… prefer hands on stuff and Dawless the way in going… keen to hear from anyone though!

Based on the Perkons and Syntrx I’d expect the $2,250 +/- range.

I also have one. I don't find myself using it as much as my other controllers, but it's pretty nice. I stick to the basic mode (slider + pressure, with the slider latching) or record (with instant looping, because it's big fun how it just immediately replaces the recording when you draw in another one).
