Awesome video from Sweetwater. About the 9:00 mark you get patches being played. It's all on synth. Pedals aren't terribly boutique or pricy.

Getting myself closer and closer to Octa-land. Spent my evening sequencing a drum kit of field-recording samples:
Rain drops
Gate latches
Bird chirps
Wine glass
I built a custom sequencer in Reaktor to trigger the kit of samples. I ran some samples into a Waves multi tap delay, not unlike the Intellijel Rainmaker. Things got weird but stayed cohesive. I'll try to develop a few things and post up a sample.
I can see the draw of the Elektron Octa.
