Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

what kinda verb pedals are yall working with? anyone liking the HOF2?

@JES has a thread about this quest for verb.

i am pretty boring. i like the boss rv-500 and also have a boss rv-5, which is dependable. i have the hof1, i think it’s decent. i have an avalanche run, which i need to move at some point.

Dang. Is that your fretting foot?
Yes....
:(

Nah...I'll be fine. Was a dumb move on my part. Didn't want to take the soft cruiser wheels off my usual board to put on hard park wheels. Used a beater that I had laying around with crap grip tape.
Did the transition easy 9times....10th time my front foot landed in front of the skateboard basically rolling over my foot.
Me = idiot
Would have never happened with my usual set up.

Not the best all-purpose pedal, but my favorite lately has been the Caroline Meteore. It's kind of obnoxious, but I like it, especially the feedback momentary switch.

I've skateboarded for over 25 years.
Speed wobbles suck.
Broke my foot this week at the skate park.

I learned the hard way that I am no longer 17 years old when I was running a trail and stepped into a ditch I didn't see. Wound up going full speed into the berm on the far side, took it right in the rib cage, my glasses flew off my face and landed about 5 feet in front of me, and I jammed my wrist at the same time.

When I was 17 I would've laughed this off in a few minutes but this knocked the wind out of me for about an hour and my wrist took a few days to recover.

One thing hasn't changed, though: as soon as I stood up the first thing I did was look around to see if anyone saw it happen and would laugh at me. I remember doing that after bike accidents a lot growing up

I dig the idea behind the Météore and I do think it's a great sounding pedal. But, sadly, I could never really get it to work for me on bass (in a band context, that is).
