After more than 20 years on RDJ, I think this is the one I come back to most often.
Is the latest EP ( your fav) available as a physical release??

What site do you find your music docs on? I have trouble finding ones I like.

Venetian Snares- so far, I want to love his stuff because it’s right up my street on paper. But so far I haven’t been able to get on board. Maybe I havent heard the right record yet. I also just can’t hear another version of the Amen Break again!
Bola- I like it
Proem- never heard him before, but just bought a record. Really good stuff!
Funkarama- really enjoy what I’ve heard, but know I wouldn’t listen to it much as I burned myself out on that vibe in the late 90’s.
Loess- again, never heard and just bought a record! Really like it!
Yasume- not familiar, but will give it an honest listen.

I have a place in my heart for that 98-‘05 crazy tracker/demo scene and would be too tempted to keep my electronic stuff in that vein if I listened to it too much these days!

haven’t seen anyone mention funkarma before. really interesting. you know shadow hunters? pretty sure it’s those guys plus three rappers from different towns in the u.s.

Venetian Snares is the same for me, some albums are incredible, some...not so much.
His first one, “music for cats” , is really cool and “out there”. All made in his basement home studio.

Agreed on the Amen break, over used 1 million times over. It should disappear for about 50 years.
The late 90s vive did paint itself into a corner. Also burned out on it, but some artists still do some cool stuff in that vibe.

Happy to share so good music with someone. Got a couple more I could share, but I’ll let you digest those ones for a bit.

part of that whole ethos was anonymity and anti-star kinda thing. I mostly remember how much could be eked out of such limited tech, which was a huge part of it. Crazy programming and graphics

I freakin love his stuff, very diverse.
I’ve listened to his album “Socially Inept” about a thousand times.
He does some very good dark ambient as well.

Arovane's latest more ambient is ok.
His earliest albums are the best.
Lilies and Tides.
Cycliph EP is also excellent.

Like this a whole lot. Missed a lot of great electronic stuff between around 2001-2015 when my whole life was dumped into the Legendary Shackshakers world

Lydia Lunch...interesting kinda...

Kraftwerk are kinda like Frank Zappa to me . I love the innovation, the thought process and respect the ‘importance.’ Just wish I enjoyed the actual music more. I’ve watched everything I could ever find on Kraftwerk and owned a few records in high school...so groundbreaking. Today, I can’t seem to get through an entire record most of the time, yet I adore them

I revere Kraftwerk. But, yeah, I can only take em in small doses. I still love Zappa, but mostly the instrumental stuff. I think I've soured on FZ a bit more as I realize he was kind of a dick.

Finished the doc on Eno. Went on to a few minutes of Lydia Lunch, then moved on to a Kraftwerk doc as I patch modules.
