Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Neighbors must wonder what goes on here. I just spent a bunch of time getting lost in my two new output modules allowing me to run three outputs from the synth (one mono and a stereo pair). Ran the mono into my Hilbish Pessimiser for distortion (tried the Wizard fuzz but it wasn’t playing nice, and a little noisy). Ran the stereo signal from the modular delay into the mixer. Used the FX send for reverb. Let the whole thing drone away with various filters and modulation sources, and lots tweaking by hand. It was great to get lost in the wash for an hour.

Reminds me of "The Internet" on South Park.

Side note: I wonder how long Night Flight Plus will last. Like, the licensing for their content is likely pretty cheap, but it feels like a very niche service (for which I am absolutely in the target demographic). I wonder how many subscribers they need in order to stay afloat.

Agreed. I’ve seen a few things that look like newer content. I’ve also noticed some lag when trying to stream some things. I’m not sure what that business structure is, but I’m gonna enjoy it while I can. $40 paid for a year, and I’ve already felt satisfied with the music programing I’ve watched.

I managed some self restraint. Much as I wanted to buy more modules on the Perfect Circuit sale, I figured I’m only a month away from an inevitable 4th of July sale. I spent a bunch of time configuring my rig with the new modules, making the layout easier on the hands. I got the bass gear out, now I that can play into the modular system. I’m wondering if I should’ve gotten a module that does input following, but I keep thinking I don’t like filters triggered by the transients, as much as I like subtle modulation like trem or chorus effect. I think the next big module is the Make Noise Qpas.
