I added a few more blocks and developed this tonight. It is two 8 step sequencer arpeggios with different clocking, and a I-IV-V sequencer sequencing those sequencers.

You'll get the idea pretty quickly, but I let this one run long because I enjoyed it.
Some cool ideas in here about using clocks and gates and mods. Concepts not just specific to the PNW.
25395078[/URL], member: 188059"]The PNW was one of the very first modules I bought for my rack. Indispensable and I don’t really know a fraction of what it’s capable of
I’ve been considering the upcoming 4th of July weekend as a potential for sale prices, and thinking of an upcoming birthday treat, and the PNW is on my list. I considered a Black Sequencer from Erica too, which means… both? But I think much of the functionality of the sequencer could be handled by my laptop+midi and a PNW.
I’ve also been looking at the Squarp Hermod and the current Fender American Professional II Jazz basses. I’m kind of a mess. Add to it the pending Boredbrain modules (check the IG) and it’s a lot to consider. I still haven’t received my mini bass due to all the lockdown issues in Malaysia and delays at Nordy.
Right now I’m fascinated with clocking options, so PNW has my attention.
GAS aside, the ideas in the PNW demo really got me thinking. I might do more patching in Blocks this weekend.
Hope I don’t bore anyone with this story, but it’s a happy one.
Remember I said our tour van was broken into and my Fano JM4 was stolen? Our road managers backpack, mobile office with his iPad was also stolen and he keeps getting pings from it in Middletown, OH. This morning on our way to Put In Bay we met the police at the address it kept pinging from. They were no help and simply asked a sketchy looking dude with lives in a garage if he stole an iPad. The guy said no and the cops said that was that. Our road manager was furious. Not an hour later the road manager says, “Mark, your bass just got listed on Reverb in Middletown, OH!”
I messaged the seller and showed him pictures to assure him that was my bass. He immediately asked me to call him and said he would pull the listing. The seller was mortified. Said he bought the bass from someone he went to high school with and hadn’t seen since ‘04 or something and feared the price he paid was ‘too good to be true.’ We arranged to meet on my way home Monday, said he didn’t want any money or finders fee and that he would deal with the guy who sold him the bass. So looks like I got my Fano back!

Sorry.Incredible news!!!!
F@#k the police. Useless.
awesome.
when do you get it in your hands?
a stolen bass story:
at one point in the early 80s, i had a refinished 1954 p bass. pickup crapped out so i had to replace it.
came home one day to find that our place had been burgled. i didn’t think much of it until i realized the bass was stolen. (they also got a knife and a pair of french brass knuckles that my grandmother had given me plus some stuff of my roommate’s.)
anywho, we did the police report.
we move out and i move into a new place with my gf.
a couple years later: one day i get a phone call from someone saying he’s a detective (oh crap, what did i do wrong?). he says, did you get a camera stolen? i’m, you found my bass and gave him the serial number (1084). yep. that was it. someone had taken it into one of the guitar shops on sunset @dukeorock, remember freedom guitars?). i went in and got it. didn’t even pay them!
whoever stole had done an “evh special” on it: black krylon paint on the body with black electrical tape on the white headstock. anywho, buttugly.
i put in a second pickup and then ended up selling it to a bit student from switzerland so i could get the money for my fretless 6-string fodera.
okay. longwinded, bur feeling sympatico with mssr le duke.
Okay, that is just awesome beyond description.Hope I don’t bore anyone with this story, but it’s a happy one.
