Ok, might try Reaper (for the 8436517834561 time) this summer, I’m getting pretty sick and tired of all the enfin latency in Live.
Plus, the creators of Reaper are indeed awesome. One quick question, how are the stock FX? I hate chasing plugins to patch what is missing in the DAW.

I just need to kick my lazy @$$ and learn a new DAW, to me is one of the most boring things ever. That and chasing plugins……..euh……

Interfaces, ya….programmed obsolescence, let me get a sledgehammer and some army grade explosives.

Stock FX aren't bad. I don't use them because I have the Waves Bundle, Soundtoys, Eventide, all that stuff.

Yes, they look great, now.
No a dog tore an ACL, or more accurately a CCL (the dog equivalent). They actually cut the leg bone and realign and then put a metal hinge on the knee. 4 weeks later, she's recovering nicely, then runs out the door after something and blows out the other one.

I'm glad I went on that big gear buying binge on the pandemic year, because if I didn't, I'd have a Behringer rig or something. No new toys for me anytime soon, which is why damn Pigtronix for coming out with that Infinity 3

Editing to say, yes the layout of the Pigtronix 3 is a little different. I have had mixed results with my 2. Also, had to repair it a couple times. I actually sold it, then the buyer broke it and returned it, then he was kicked off Reverb. So now I have it again. Weird. I think I would have been happier with a boomerang for what I wanted it for.

Yeah, nothing to like. I coulda bought another Wal with that. Not like I was going to, although I have been getting the urge for a 6 string fretless. That has now been utterly crushed.

Nicely linking ^^^this question in w/ the recent discussion here re: DAWs/sequencers, here's something I wrote in this thread ~4 years ago:

It would be cool if you could affect one of those old 70s/80s video things with control voltage. So that that parameter would simultaneously affect something musical and visual. Plus you wouldn't have to pay an extra member! But you would have to lug around the added video equipment...

That is soooooo coooooooool - I want to hear/see the fan synthesizer through it!

There are various video synthesizers out there. I have a couple of cheaper ones made by Critter and Guitari a few years back, since discontinued. They make a nicer, more expensive one last time I checked.

So does it output video that you can record in your computer?

I think it outputs in more than one format, so I guess with the right cable/interface it can be done. I would use it with a projector for live visuals, although that's sometimes a pain to set up along with all the other gear. I've done it once or twice with my current cheapo video synths and it was kind of cool, made the show more fun I think.

Having some fun today working with chance/random elements on the Elektron Model:Cycles today. Same tempo and key (more or less) on each element, but seeing if I can make something resembling music out of this mess
