Been working with the Zoia a lot more lately. It’s getting more comfortable to navigate. I’m setting it up on a music stand so it’s easier to access. I’m more familiar with the sounds and functions so it’s easier to get what I want out of it.
Today, I worked on a fuzz sound with a clean blend, and got into a decent range. If this keeps up, it could shelf my other dirt pedals and my cab sim. I’m not there yet, but closer than ever.
...says the guy who just ordered a dirty preamp pedal
The midi control over my other Empress pedals is also a huge plus.
Haven't bought anything for myself in a freakn long time be we finally decided to get a short scale bass so I can start the kids on the wrong path as soon as possible.not the dubterranean

Back on the granular topic... I know all about the Particle... anyone use the Tensor? Thoughts?
Although I can't afford it, I'm gonna have to pull the plug on something, soon.
What is it??you know that thing where you really shouldn’t and can sorta not afford something, but you really want one?
yeah. that’s where i am.
Well, depends on who you ask... but since you're asking me, I love em to death, especially when I use the editors for them. They just give me sounds I haven't heard elsewhere. One drawback is if you're gonna wanna save more than one preset, you'll need some sort of midi switch (which is what the qConnect does, on that right hand board).
what made you splash out for this? I don't have any experience with Hilbish, but I'm sorely temptedI caved and preorder a dirty thing.

Hilbish Beta Pre pedal.

I am a HUGE Tensor fan. Of the tons of glitch and weirdo pedals I own, the Tensor might be my favorite...I have it on my main board. I have gone so far as to use the 4 button foot switch and MIDI. w the switch I had 2 presets and both buttons. Each fiitswitch can be set in all sorts of ways and w one setting you can get an array of uses from it. W MIDI, I use it as a looper and a rewind machine, pitch shifter, fast octave repeats...the thing is pretty incredible. One of my favorite things is to just crank the “random” knob.

What is it??
Pedal, synth, software..???
Contact mics to tape all over your body so you can roll around the floor and have an artistic reason for it.
I'm genuinely interested.

Wow.You’d like the work of Aesthetic Meat Front. Lots of contact mics. Hooks and needles instead of tape. Lots of rolling around on the floor. Lots of blood though. Not stage blood. If that’s a sensitive spot, don’t google their work.
Two years ago I helped with a show where we put contact mics on people and parts of the venue, like metal stairs and railings. Ran it all through various distortion pedals and cranked it through the mixer. Pretty chaotic stuff.
Often AMF uses big winged corsets in their productions. They have hooks into the performers which are connected to big metal springs connected to the wings. The performers hit the springs with sticks and the contact mics pick the vibrations up.
Wow.
Have you seen Amenra live??Yeah. It’s an interesting crew to run with. I’ve been invited back to work other shows but the schedules haven’t lined up. Plus, I’ve got a crew of my own for such shenanigans. Though our stuff is generally a bit less chaotic.
Have you seen Amenra live??
1st of all....awesome band
2nd...the singer is always back turned to the corwd and does suspension acts during the shows..
Imo they do an incredible live set
Surprised I'm unfamiliar...
thanks Multiplier.
I think I can mimic on my Zoia....
