AI does NOT think like real humans yet, that is for sure. It may be fancy, but under the hood it's still just a mindless machine.

If you read a lot of the recent literature on Neuroscience and/or Philosophy of Mind you start to realize that the difference between a human being and "a mindless machine" is mostly semantic.

Yeah I read that stuff. But for now we are still a ways off from a real artificial general intelligence. What we can make now are machines that can "learn" but still have no awareness or values. HAL-9000 is 20 years overdue but still just a fantasy at this point.

Jump down the Donald Hoffman rabbit hole of the case against reality and see that nature isn't doing us mindless machines any favors.

Sent the tracks from my electronic record off to mastering today, secured a small deal with an indie label out of Chicago (File13) and have a designer starting the artwork. Glad to have all this in motion. Been obsessing too long to try to pull it together!

I just sifted through the last two years of stuff I made and tried to find a theme with some of the songs. It’s not as weird as I was tempted to make it, but it ain’t a techno record either :)
Aphex Twin, Autechre, early Eno and Nicolas Jaar was the kind of stuff I was listening to, but it doesn’t really sound like that. Heck if I know. Buncha crap!

This stuff messed with all of our plans. I can’t really afford the mastering bill and whatnot but I really wanted to get this record out of my system

Just slam it through IMPusher in Waves ;)

I have another potential record I might master myself, but I really wanted to use a certain engineer for this record and he cut me a great deal. He test mastered one of my tunes a few weeks ago and really knocked it out of the park
