This comes back full circle with the deep in the moment aspect of listening to what is happening, random or intentional.

We spoke of this when I was explaining my two simultaneous noise synth creations.

100% for me as well, minus the German heritage. I'm really just experimenting with the Tensor right now. I've created a limitation for the moment where I create a loop, and then with the Tensor, and a couple of other simpler pedals, I manipulate the loop. It's a way for me to delve into the possibilities of the Tensor, so I can learn to use it as it's intended, while being able to control it in a musical way, for whatever I'm trying to create.

I have a band where live samples and loop manipulation is big piece of the music.

We run a boss RC-3 (loaded with loops samples etc.....) looper into a "noise station" pedal board for live tweaking of said loops and samples.

The singer has all this set up in front of him on a piano stand ready to launch tweak and wreak havoc at will.

We where ready to record album 2 before all this Charlie foxtrot .

That ties neatly into my first big conversation I started on here months ago, about the noise thing and intention, as well as actual musical skill or lack, thereof. Remember that? Good times.

After high school I got offered a summer gig helping my friend’s dad with some home improvement. He wanted me to dig a long, narrow trench for running pipe/cabling to the garage. I told him that would take a day, and he said it’d be at least two days. I got it done in a day, but my fingers cramped and curled like I was still holding a pick axe, to the point I couldn’t do much of anything for a few days.

Well, we knew it was coming: the record companies can soon do away with their biggest problem: musicians.

Send the pop stuff straight to Spotify, maybe generate some animated "stars" like that one fake anima pop star for visuals, and Bob's your uncle.

Honestly, as bad as that stuff sounds it's pretty much on par with some of what I've been hearing on FM radio the last few years. Once it's polished up it'll be ready for prime time.

I imagine it's possible. A few years ago google's "Deep Learning" AI was making freaky artworks by inputting various existing art and letting it run on from there. I don't know if I'd call it "good art" but an artist who is in a rut could use it to find a starting point at least. Somebody like Bjork could probably do something similar with it (though not Bjork herself, whatever she's doing it's probably unpredictable).

Google's system was also used to create "adult art" which was more than a bit disturbing. AI does NOT think like real humans yet, that is for sure. It may be fancy, but under the hood it's still just a mindless machine.
