Ambient/Post-Rock/Textural bass playing thread

Been working with the Zoia a lot more lately. It’s getting more comfortable to navigate. I’m setting it up on a music stand so it’s easier to access. I’m more familiar with the sounds and functions so it’s easier to get what I want out of it.

Today, I worked on a fuzz sound with a clean blend, and got into a decent range. If this keeps up, it could shelf my other dirt pedals and my cab sim. I’m not there yet, but closer than ever.
...says the guy who just ordered a dirty preamp pedal :)

The midi control over my other Empress pedals is also a huge plus.

Maybe I got the name wrong.
Its the plug in where you can rack up and stack compressors, enhancers....limiters saturation, eq etc...

Ah! I use their ‘virtual mix rack’ thing. Has some pretty good Neve, API, etc eq’s and compressors

Any huge advantage for mastering slate vs ozone???

Im sure you could do a good job with either. I like the ‘Mastering Assistant’ function on Ozone to get the ball rolling. Some good dynamic eq stuff. After that, at the end of my master bus I tend to use the Slate master limiter/compressor. Can’t remember what it’s called but it’s pretty good :)
