I've seen that. I'm looking for something small that does less. I literally could be fine with a pedal that just sends one cc command. The Aeros looper has some features that, unfortunately, can only be accessed by CC commands, and there's only one feature I need that requires that.

one thing to consider is how noisy the switches are.
the mcmillen is dead quiet. some of the other ones i looked at seemed to have noisy switches.

The weird thing is, I have no recollection of playing on any of those tracks!
I suppose that's a tribute to the artist/producer's ability to build (or salvage) content from sketches that bore no resemblence to the final form.
Or maybe it's just my short attention span. Don't loan me your car keys and then expect me to remember where I parked!
btw, bass fans may want to check out some of the other offerings from the San Francisco Free Jazz Collective, Scott Thunes played on a couple of their previous releases.

Anyone here know how to keep the Transcendance mode on all the time the CT5???

afaik, that's the way it is. going back to normal and then to transcendence also helps me clear whatever is in memory in the middle of playing.

Been exploring the loop modes and also mode 1.
Secondary modes with the Q switch n stuff are still a deep dark secret. (read me too lazy to look up manual and too dad brain to remember said functions.)
Edit: how do you revert back when playing bass?? You have three hands??

What is transcendence? (oof...heavy....but in regards to the CT5 this time)
I still haven't checked out the Nightly modes. I dig the looping mode on the original algorithm and use that all the time.
Transcendence keeps the buffer "info" when switching modes and tweaking some parameters such as tape lenght/reading head placement in mode 1.
(Each time you move the tape head in mode one the sound cuts off in normal mode and doesn't in transcendence mode)
So if you loop something in mode 2, then flip to mode 3 that same loop will continue and not be erased.
I tried the nightly firmware and its very different. For now I prefer the OG.
Also no transcendence in the alternative firmware.
Mode 2 in nightly is nauseating because the vibrato speed blinks with the LED.
After abouy 40 mins I got dizzy for real.

a non-helpful answer: a movie that had more promise than it could live up to.
the pertinent answer: in the og firmware (from memory):
1. have the far-right toggle switch in one of the bottom two positions.
2. when the pedal is off (but powered up), press the left switch until the right light turns from blue (regular) to green (transcendence). it's quick, so watch.
3. when you turn the pedal on, it should have the green light on (right light).
4. go into record and get something in the buffer, mess with the far-left toggle switch:
a. the middle position is standard one-head operation (the bottom three knobs are for pitch/direction, aperture and so forth)
b. the bottom position is three-head operation (all three of the bottom knobs control pitch/direction for three different iterations of the loop . . . fun!)
(confused yet?)
just try it. it's my favorite thing about the pedal.
