Well, I'm hoping this is a temporary thing but I just noticed a couple of bad signs in my right ear. I started noticing an echo/delay and certain high frequencies were harsh. Then I noticed my right ear has lost a significant amount of low frequency hearing, below 1k. It feels like there's some pressure, so I'm hoping it is a temporary thing like a minor infection, but it is time to get a medical professional in the mix.

It’s a slippery slope I bet if I keep looking I could convince myself I’ve got a rare blood borne disease caused by a mosquito who bit me after feeding on someone who recently returned from a jungle expedition to parts unknown, and my hearing loss is a precursor to my bones liquifying if I eat the wrong species of blueberry.

I’ve got a GP visit shortly. Hoping he looks in and sees an easily fixed issue like a minor infection.

A couple of years ago a local theater here screened that film and me and my brother went to see it. I saw it as a kid when it first came out so it was fun to see it on the big screen again. When Kirk did the Khan scream the whole audience erupted in applause. After decades of that sinking into pop culture's collective mind everyone was waiting for that moment.

@Starthief -- I also have a U-bass, though it's the original fretted one. I play it with flats instead of the rubber strings. Super fun.

cool. sounds good. and it's nice that there's not a huge drop-off (like seamless) when changing patches with the held notes.

i will say, though, that it doesn't sound "prophet-y" to me (sounds way more pointed and direct—though that could be the programming). i'll interested to see what you think when you get it.

Doesn’t sound Rolandy either. I was mainly talking about the filter. The oscillators and architecture are totally different. We will see. I could hate it.

Edit: I think the new Dreadbox Nymphes also has the same filter.

Played with my neighbors Afterneath and Empress Superdelay. Love that Afterneath so much, is a very appropriate piece of kit for this thread. The Superdelay reinforced what I'm going with in delay-ville: going as simple as I can and getting a TC Flashback 2 Mini. The delay rabbit hole looks like it goes deep so I'm cutting bait and keeping it simple. Had similar success dumping all my dirt into an SA Aftershock. Simple rules.

I didn't like the Afterneath when I tried it, but it is quite popular. I think you're making a good choice.

Just a heads-up - next Friday, Feb. 4, they are [Invalid or Expired Link Removed], where they waive their fees. It's not such a big deal, especially if you only ever sell 1 or 2 downloads like me, but it can also be motivation to try and get something up and advertise it that way. And also to buy stuff from artists you want to support!
