Just curious.....are there any ambidextrous people here? I'm not born ambidextrous but kinda forced myself to do things with both hands just because.........

I'm an odd duck when it comes to my hands.
I write, throw and eat/drink left handed. I smoked left handed years ago. I usually hold a phone in my left hand.
I bat, use scissors, play bass, and drive right handed. I serve a volleyball right handed.
I only golfed a short time (needed to for my job at the time). When I did, I would swing right handed and putt left handed. I had both left and right handed pitching wedges and used them interchangeably based on ball placement. I could use the pitching wedge pretty accurately left handed, but always managed to fling a lot more sand that way.
When I play tennis, I could forehand with either hand. Placement is a bit better with the right hand. But I can get it in the lines left handed all day long. I always served right handed. Left handed back hand topspin is deadly.
Technically I'm a switch hitter batting. I just have better placement of the ball right handed. But I can get the bat on it left handed and usually pull to right field no matter how hard I try to go the other way.
When I fish, I both cast and reel right handed. I'll cast right handed, then switch the pole over to my left hand to reel right handed. Weird, but it feels natural
I kick right footed unless I'm kicking my dog or children. Then I go with the left to give them a fighting chance. (Sarcasm alert.)
When I shoot a pistol, I'm right handed but left-eye dominant. So I use my arms and stance to cross over to my left eye. Long guns I shoot right handed and deal with the right eye (easier with optics... terrible with open sights).

I'm right handed, but not strongly right handed. I can do most things reasonably well left handed if the need arises. I have swung a hammer with whatever hand fit better, and I bat left handed. Playing ping-pong made sense to me left handed. There are some other things I do left handed as a matter of routine, but they are not things I think about, so I can't tell you what they are. Anything with handed equipment ends up being used right handed, since that's generally what it was intended for.
I also can't tell you right from left on a reliable bases. If I tell you to turn right, there's a 50-50 chance that's wrong.

My dominant eye is my left. I write right-handed and am better with a handgun using my right hand.
With a rifle or bow I shoot left-handed. My left handed shooting with a handgun is about 80% compared to my right, mainly because of lack of left-handed practice.

I’m left dominant but in actual practice i’m metrodexterous. I’ve never let the lack of leftcentric equipment deter me from learning doing something i’m interested in. I usually prefer it and often do better with left specific tools but i can hold my own being a righty if that’s my only choice.
My dad OTOH, is truly an ambi. He can do anything any time with either hand. Before he got too old to enjoy it he would bet people he could play left handed with their right handed clubs and still win, and he could pull it off.

I was more or less a converted lefty as a grade school kid. The only place I've really leveraged that in a positive way is in my tech work, where ambidexterity can be extremely helpful at times.
I'd give my right arm to be ambidextrous!

I throw a baseball with my right, a football with my left. In golf I swing right but putt left. All racquet sports I play left handed. Bat right, write right, play bass right. I can shoot both right and left. Swing a hammer with either hand. BTW that last one comes in very handy when working in confined spaces.

I write right handed but eat left, play pool left, shoot guns left..right handed scissors are the worst thing ever. Oh and I hold my phone lefty..most everything else is righty..oh I can throw with either hand
I would never claim to be even remotely ambidextrous, but I do have this one odd trait: Though firmly in the Right-Handed camp all my life, for inexplicable reasons when I was a kid I learned to play drums left-handed.
I can almost get by on a right-handed drum kit if I play open-handed ...so I guess maybe my feet are more ambidextrous than my hands?
