Anyone can learn to play right or left handed. You'll never see someone playing left handed in a major orchestra (yes, I"m sure there is an exception somewhere). Just play right handed.

There is more to it than just make a left handed instrument ...
There is a lot of people in an orchestra and so they all need to be on the same side otherwise the bows will hit each other and ... saddly ... it would look weird with what they have going on visually ...

Yes of course but the point is that there is no intrinsic right or left handed musical instrument. Any right handed person could learn to play a left handed guitar if that is what they started with. One of the things you'll often see right handed beginners do is flip the guitar around so they can fret with their more dexterous right hand.
