I thought at one point I saw what looked like an older GK head with a Hartke cab. The MTD's did look/sound good. My wife said the green one was pretty.

i guess they keep two rigs. the EA one for the hall, and the 800rb into the hartke for the hotel rehearsals.(cartage/rental?).
those guys were still doing rehearsals with the contestants at 3am, i wonder if no matter the pay, if playing bryan adams for the 100th time sends these guys right to the bar after taping.
i hope this year is good. i really like the little emo kid. i am rooting for him.
i guess ricky comes back next week. i love it when they play 'sir duke'. too bad most who sing it on idol are not "wonder"ful. but who am i to talk, there is no vocal mic on my side of the stage. i like him being the band leader.

That kid is from Morristown Tn and lives in his car.
Yeah, well he proved he can't sing with a band. He won't make the top 24. They should've dragged him outta there by his earlobe, if he has any. He's pathetic.
We didn't get to hear them all but that Rock n Roll nurse has a powerful voice but I just don't know how versatile she's going to be for the contest. She can sing though. The Aussie guy was good too. There was that 16 yr old kid that definitely has a future.
To keep on topic -- I liked the green and yellow MTD.

Well Mike, I need a lesson on setting the eq on my iAmp 500 b/c I can't get mine to sound like hers did.

I'd beg to differ, My iAMP800 can cop that sound and better all on it's own, EA amps are incredible pieces of equippment and dont need the help of the Avalon U5.you are hearing the Avalon U5

They might have sheets or charts, although I didn't see any stands. No matter what, very impressive.
According to her web site she plays through a EA iAMP500 & two EA wizzy 12's. That's what it looked like she was using last night.
I can't figure out why they even gave him half a chance. He sounds terrible and he is, for lack of a better word, a whiney bitch.
From what I understand, the contestants get a list of about 100 tunes to chose from for the auditions. Gotta figure the band is prepared to play any one of those songs, so that's a pretty broad repertoire for a one time event (the auditions). The band did a nice job, even the background singers trying to match up to the lead vocals .....
The MTD's looked great, too ......
