Stickers/decals are relatively easy to get.

I also don't think any American Fender has a truss rod adjustment on the headstock with the black plastic around the truss rod adjustment hole.

American fenders has the truss rod adjustment at the headstock, with the plastic , for like 20 years!

Just to tell you how my story ended: I went to see the JB from previous pictures, sadly did not really sound as good as I hoped. Then I realized there is another JB just an hour drive from there, and veni vidi vici! Immediately felt in love with this beauty, CIJ JB63, beginning of 2000s, with US pick ups.
