I prefer the ATA style myself, such as the EWI cases. I've never really used a rack bag much---I had the option to buy the Aguilar rack bag with my DB750, but opted to stick with my EWI rack case for it instead.

It's all a matter of personal preference, and what your needs are.

Also, check with www.theperfectbass.com. I believe they have the Warwick Rockcase rack bags there, and if you type "talkbass" into the discount/promo code box (minus the quotation marks), you'll get a 5-10% discount through them.

I wrote the guy, and he said it was 16+3/4" from lid to lid, even though it says 14" on the ad. I might be able to get it for $60 incl s/h.

I don't. I purchased a 2u carpeted head case from Aaron and it arrived with a variety of issues (non-shipping related). I contacted him to relate my experience and he essentially told me to fix it myself, while stating that he 'really does try to make customers happy'. Suffice to say he will not earn any of my future dollars. YMMV.
