Amp Head shuts off, might be mismatched Ohms?

Sounds like heat issues. These heads have a safety cut off when they over heat. Is the fan running?

Heat issues...well the OP said he was using an instrument cable instead of a speaker cable...my guess is that there was some excess heat in places that were not designed to handle that. Hopefully, the head was self-protecting. IMO it's possible that the cable, connectors, or amp could have been damaged.

Without proper troubleshooting, everything that's being suggested is nothing but wild ass guesses (and some pretty sketchy ones at that).

Take both your amp and cabinet (along with all cables) to a qualified tech and have them help you first correctly identify which piece is causing the problem, then diagnose the fault in defective piece. Once the fault is correctly diagnosed, the repair will be straight forward.

It usually comes down to heat or an open circuit.
Finding the cause is the issue.

Thin conductors of instrument cables limit current.

Had the same issue with my Eden WT800 while on tour
Took to Eden repair center and had it fixed and never an issue again....BUT was never as trusting and switched to Mark Bass heads

Definitely have a tech look it over. I will say that my old second-hand 400RB would cut out and it turned out that the solder joints on the board-mounted jack needed to be touched up. That fixed my issue, but yours may be different.

I also had an issue with my WT800, not exactly the same problem, but once it was repaired, it worked fine.
However, I do take a back up amp (GK MB2 Fusion)
to all my gigs. Just in case.....

I have a Nemesis NA-650, simillar architecture inside I am sure. I have the same issue. It is a heat issue. The fan in mine won't run and it is either the switch in the thermal circuit or the fan itself. Easy to test the fan, just need to get it apart. This is a common issue with Eden, heat build up. If any of the thermal circuit has been compromised, it will go into safe mode after it gets hot and switch off the power section (DI out should still function). I am thinking it is going to be easier to take it to a tech than do myself. It will really depend on you speaker load as well. If you are running 2 4ohm cabs (it is rated for 2 ohms), it will really be working and get hot quickly. Mine lasts approx 3 songs before it cuts.
