amp rig changes what you made 2009

sold off gear? picked up a few pieces? happy?
dissapointed? lets hear about calendar year 2009 changes.

a pic or 2 wouldn't hurt either...

here is my story to kick it off. swapped my GS112 straight
accross for a DB210. great cab soundwise, but its a boat anchor
at 60lbs. picked up a backup amp head--eden wt400. my
main head is 85 lbs & not practical for all occasions.
the eden with the 210 is an awesome practice rig as well!

I added a Behringer V-Amp pro for a little effect here and there. I only use the effects and none of the amp modeling, etc. Have actually thought about getting rid of it a few times but the effects I use on it sound decent enough. I DO NOT like the amp modeling on it and keep wondering how I'd like one of the Line 6 units. Now for 2010 I'm seriously fighting the urge to go back to Ampeg with the introduction of SVT 7 Pro.

Built my Self a 100 watt Superbass.

On my own.

So now, with a 100 watt hand wired, American Made Tube amp, My Sunn Coliseum Rarely ever gets taken out (well it gets left a one of my rehearsal spaces) or played.

Replaced my SansAmp RBI with an Ampeg SVP-Pro. Everything else (power amp, cabs) stayed the same.

I suppose I should get around to listing that RBI here in the classifieds. In all honesty once I got the RBI dialed in to the sound I wanted I thought it sounded almost as good as the real-tube Ampeg, anyway. Maybe I'll keep it...I dunno...

I added a few things. I got a GS112 as my "small" rig to pair w/ my LMII and I love it. In fact, for as much as I love my Avatar 212 I wish I had 2 GS112's as opposed to one of each (anyone feel like trading!:D)

my normal pedal set up is a tuner and SABDDI. I added a Aggie Octamizer and EHX doc Q to a pedaltrain mini. I gotta say, while the octave is cool. I much rather have the SABBDI sitting on my cab - set it and forget it. I'm still not sold on pedals for bass:hiding:

hopefully 2010 will be the year I finally commit to a Warmoth P!!!

sold my 77 b-15n, got my 69 svt working again, went back to using ampeg pretty much fulltime and made my lmii, which is still a fantastic amp imho, a backup. that's about it.

i sold a very beat up SLM era ampeg fridge for $250 (i had two), and bought a 71 ampeg fridge for a little over $300. one speaker needs a recone, it'll be a work in progress and sounds beautiful.\

I sold off my avatar 2x12 cabinet (bringing me down to 1 4x10) my Nemesis NA650, Spector Performer, my boss oc-3, boss bass overdrive, and dunlop bass wah.

I replaced it with a Line 6 HD400 and I couldn't be happier. More tones, better tones... yeah I wish it had a phaser, and that the power switch was on the front. But the head is awesome. and there was over $600 left over after the gear was bought and sold.

With the money left over from it I've been looking into upgrading my recording setup from a mbox2 to a digi 002 or 002 rack, and parts for my project pbass.
