amp rig changes what you made 2009

Found myself short of cash (typical musician's story) due to lack of gigs, and the money pit I'm calling a studio project (building a sound proof room in my garage)...

So... This had to go:

plus a couple other guitars, and a '65 Fender Bandmaster head primarily used as a recording amp (easier to overdrive than the same vintage Bassman).

Also had to let go of this:

On the bright side, I just bought a TC Rebel Head (should be here next Tuesday), But may have to give up my 3 favorite vintage Traynor amps to pay for it... Depending upon income in the next couple of months...

Bought a Carvin BX500 back in Feb. 09 and then added a Carvin BRX10.2 neo cab last summer. Again last summer, picked up a brand new Carvin Icon IC5 bass, very happy with everything.

Got rid of my Eden 1205 two-210xsts and GK 1001RB two- 212 Neo rigs and bought a Genz Benz shuttlemax 12.0 with UBer212 and 410 cabs. couldn't be happier with my choice. This year I added a shuttle 6.0 12t combo for small gigs and rehearsal.

After 15 years of playing through my SWR SM400 I replaced it with a Genz Benz 6.0 Shuttle when I found that the price of fixing the SM400 was going to be slightly less than buying a new amp. I made the switch and I love it.

I also bought an Avatar Neo 210 for GB 6.0 to help lighten the load.
Love 'em both but still have fond memories of the SM400 it treated me very well.

Bought a GK 400Rb-IV ($250) to replace my Behringer 4500 (retired to backup status now). Bought a 2000 MIA Jazz (sunburst/ rw/ shell pg)($500)

Added an Orange Tiny Terror Bass, an SP212 cab, and an OBC115 cab to my overall set-up. I'm quite thrilled with the sound I'm getting from this rig. I just added this to my Mesa, GK, and SWR rigs, and probably won't get rid of anything. Orange Club #60

I sold/swapped my GK Fusion 550 with my workmate for an SVT-2 non pro. Best move ever. The thing is a beast!!

Can't see any changes in the near future unless I manage to get my hands on a Sadowsky SA200

Sold my 4-space rack which contained a Korg tuner, Sansamp RBI preamp, and 3000 watt QSC power amp and replaced it with a Markbass LMII. Also sold my Ampeg Portabass 250 head. Downsized and I couldn't be happier! Of course I still have my Ampeg SVT-VR/810 rig. . .

just recently sold my crappy little 50 watt crate combo and picked up an ampeg ba115 and a squier p bass for a mod project, even picked up a jackson dinky w/ floyd rose just to fiddle around the house with.

The DB750 gives me everything I like about the SVT tone, but adds a layer of Aguilar's secret-sauce that makes it extra yummy. With the full DB210+DB115 rig, it's deadly loud - seriously, you could kill small animals. Most of the time I just run the DB115 cab and it makes me VERY happy.

I dont think I could be any more jealous, and if I could I would.

the 400 has decent power, versatile EQ, 15lbs, better highs
than the svt. i like it alot but won't be selling the svtII

Thanx for the opinion. Good idea, maybe Ill buy the 400 and keep my swr as a backup....
