Amp (Transformer)

That's about par for the course around here, I have Aspergers and dyslexia, can't you just borrow a known good ecc83 for test purposes.
Is there any information on the amplifier, like make or type, or anything else us amplifier OCD junkies can get our teeth into.:bassist:

Thanks, it is hard to read some peoples posts. Some of them do sound like they are "bitching like a Drag Queen" to me..

I have a tube on order, well two. One 2nd hand for £5 and one mm new from China with circuit, paid over the odds for £23.50 Put in the wrong amount in the auction £15 (that was spose to be the amount with the post, my fault so i pay for it)

Ill get around to checking the Transformer, and then it goes in to the Circuit and a lot more tracking so keep it simple and HOPE. To start off with .

I never said it was a transistor Amp.
The Flesh dose more than Smoke there is the Candle wax that it becomes and you can see it dripping away. Im missing some of my Prints even after 24yrs.

Ill look for that book thank you

Yes your right

well i was told i would die by 17 of CF and lived pass that
Had Strange Heart Flutters as 12 due to a Mains
Sent to a Hospital with a Child Killer
Touched the Buzz bar..
Touched a Transformer in a PVR at work one time (smelt funny all day)
and just got a little Jolt off off a AMP what just made my arm feel funny

Why else am i called Angel.. also seem to have a Low Resistance and a High Salt level

You got a bit of a jolt, or a major jolt? If it was a fairly strong tingle while you moved your arm over the strings while you played and weren't touching anything else? That sounds like the hot and neutral are reversed at the outlet or the amp doesn't have a grounded power cord and it was plugged in without correct polarity and you were touching something else at the same time. I have felt the same thing and it was always because of polarity issues.

Were you standing on concrete without shoes? This tells me that you need to check the polarity at the outlet- I have done this, too- it's not safe. If the amp's power cord has a two-prong non-polarized plug, reverse it and see if the tingle stops. If it does, replace the power cord with a three-prong plug and make sure the outlets are all wired correctly.

Here's a checklist for you Angel.

I am doing this sober __
I know what I am doing __
I am not by myself when attempting repair __
I know what it means to have the left hand in my pants pocket __
I have the proper equipment to measure AC and DC voltages to 1 kV __
I have the proper equipment to measure resistance from 0.1 ohm to 10 M __

If you can check all these points with confidence, then please let us know
