Amp Wont turn on

Am I the only one worried by how this is going?
^ I am not alone in my worries!

You are not alone but this dude seems bound and determined to hack this thing together. Not only does he not look anything up for himself but takes random advice from internet people he has no history with and acts on it.

If it was anything other than a cheap practice amp, I'd have stopped long ago. My conscience actually felt some degree of relief when somebody else came along and started throwing ideas out there. As long as he remembers to unplug it before touching anything and doesn't grab onto the biggest capacitor in there, he'll probably live through it.

IMO it's totally irresponsible for anyone to be "helping" in this endeavor, considering the obvious inexperience, and blatant carelessness of this OP!

anyman you are correct the black comes from the cable goes to the fuse yellow comes out the fuse and goes to the switch .

now i need to find the cord that attaches to that fuse one.

For everyone thats panicking i value my life. whenever i test to see if it works or not i plug it in back away and gently press the switch. im not sticking my hand in the thing touching everything while the thing is plugged in.

No disrespect to you, but I had a co-worker (also is a friend) that was one of our Transmitter test techs. He was too comfortable working with voltages. He took a ride to the hospital and has been on 40% disabilty for 27 years last I saw him. Yes he is still alive but his life is forever changed.

the one that the power from the fuse goes to. to turn the thing on.

i want to remove the switch. and just manualy attach the 2 wires

when i plug the amp in i am no where near anything that will kill me.

i took the fuse out.
anyone got a pick of a blown fuse?

dose it make a jingly sound when you shake it?

what kind of fuse is it? and it should not make "jingly' sounds when you shake them

i tested the fuse with a multy meter in the ohms 200 setting it returned 1.7 that means it workes i think.

reading through the fuse should measure the same as when you touch the leads together.
if the fuse is on a conductive surface, you might not read through the fuse, but the surface it is on. FYI

im gonna have a friend who took a electrician class come over tomorrow and look at it hes gonna teach me how to use the multy meater

Please if nothing else, it is a multi meter, not a multy meater or multy meter. They are also known as DVMs, DVOMs or VOMs (analog gauge).
